I haven't got a paper cut yet.

Cutting paper with scissors is not bad at all. I actually enjoy mindlessly cutting up strips of paper. Its...just relaxing. Am I weird? haha Anyways, cutting paper with an exaco blade, is another story. I'm kind of lazy and cheap so I don't change my blades often as I should. So here I am trying to cut things out with a dull blade...that may be the problem that my finger hurts because of all the pressure I putting on it and the blade is not as sharp. So it's been taking me longer than I thought to create these paper images.

But I'm loving how its turning out! This is all for my devotional on Heartbreak. The cover turned out excellent! I'm just trying to figure out a technique that works so I don't waste time or paper.  And now I'm working on the page where I take about God made you unique and beautiful. So I'm going to have all different looking girls that are different ethnicity. This is to show that no matter what you look like, God made you beautiful. Because I feel like after a heartbreak, a girl may to start to doubt the way the look or dislike their own personality when they make up reasons why they got broken up with.

Anyways, I don't want to give too much detail on the devotional right now. Back to what this post is actually about. Cutting things out of paper is becoming something i really like. I think I want to do other illustrations this way. So keep a look out!

I guess thats really it...haha

Peace!
