Craft Camp Day #3

If you are an Adventure Time fan then you are going to love what was being created today. Also if you like Matryoshka dolls, or known as, nesting dolls, then you will love this.

Who would have thought that plastic Easter eggs would be perfect to make nesting dolls. I always wondered what use could plastic eggs have other than on Easter. Then, the idea just came to me. Easter eggs would be perfect to make nesting dolls!  

The kids were very eager to get started. Since there were so many Adventure Time fans, there were a lot of Adventure Time characters. And they all turned out great! 

There was only enough for each child to get one medium egg and one little egg to place inside. I am thankful for all the Easter egg donations. I just wished I had some large eggs or more little eggs. Next time. =] 

But there was a lot of dolls that were designed and I am happy with the results. I think the kids were happy too. The dolls were designed using colored Sharpies. Simple. I would love to try and use small brushes and paint next time. 

This is a project that I think I would love to take into the classroom with a little more structure. Talk more about the Matryoshka dolls, their themes, and planning a sketch of what each doll would look like before beginning the project. There are a lot of possibilities.
